An Update, Finally

It's been 20 days since I've last updated my blog so I decided to sit down and wrote a post today. I just finished my Physiology presentation just a few hours ago and to be honest, I did okay only. Should've added treatment into my presentation but I thought I didn't have time to talk about it. turns out otherwise though but still, facilitator said we all did well so oh wells. Sadly, I'm not done with my workload yet. Still have 3 assignments to go and a test on week 7. And I'm currently in the midst of week 5. Gosh, uni life really drains my energy. I've been feeling so tired all the time eventhough I don't do much.

So, I've been trying out new dining places. Went for job hunting at Elsternwick and was so tired that I just decided to go have some cake with Pei Yu at Hopetoun Tea Rooms. The cakes they have all looks super delish! I tried the apple and raspberry crumble. It was yummy but not worth the AUD9.50 that I paid. Pei Yu ordered the strawberry sponge cake and hers was huge! AUD9.50 as well. But, I so wana try their tiramisu.

ALL THE CAKES!

Went for Korean food at Joomak with my uni bunch cuz Giselle's sister came and visit and they heard it was quite good so we decided to give it a try. It's kinda cool because the restaurant is underground, making it really home-y. Only dish I liked was the fish egg roll or something like that. Others were so so only and they didn't have dukboki! I don't know how they spell it but yeah. I realised I've been eating a lot of Korean food in Melbourne. Speaking of which, I just ate spicy pork bimbimbab at Tarng for lunch just now. For 10 dollars, it was worth it. Tastes yummy too. :D

My last weekend was an eventful one. On Friday, I had steamboat with the Arrow peeps. Ahh, how I miss steamboat back home. A usual gatehring with them and I told Joseph I really wana eat steamboat so he decided to organize one. woots. Saturday, we went for brunch at St. Ali's. I ordered the salmon with poached eggs. Tastes damn good. when the food came, I thought to myself: this is SO not gona make me fell but boy, I was wrong. Tasted good and filled up my happy tummy. Ahh, so satisfied. I love going brunches. Fav meal of the day I would say.

Then on Sunday, I went to Arrow to support my bestie with her selling of desserts because some bitch decided to underestimate her and HAH, in your face. She and Marcus made rose and salted caramel macarons and also lavender croquembouche for the sales. TASTES SO FREAKING GOOD I TELL YOU. I know I always say her desserts are good but it's not because she's my bestfriend but seriously, THEY WERE SO YUMMY. And I often get the privilege to taste her desserts cuz she calls me her white mouse but haha, so far I don't get food poisioning and I got to try every dessert well except her tiramisu. So rach, if you read this, I want tiramisu thank you :p

And that's about it. I realise my posts are all about eating. Haha, I'm sorry guys, I don't do much shopping here other than through ASOS. Will blog again soon. loves

All the Food, Yummers

My second week of classes is almost over and gosh, how I feel so tired already. Although this semester's timetable isn't as packed as last semester's one, I feel so drained. Haven't started on my assignments yet. Really want to but I just dont know where to start. Sighs. I shall not bore you readers with boring studies. Since I came back to Melbourne I have been eating at new places mostly brunch places. How I missed Melbourne's food. And still so many brunch places to be discovered!

So I went to Giraffe Cafe the day I touched down. Not that good actually. Ordered chicken lasagna and for some reason it's filled with carrots. So weird. Not the usual lasagna.

The picture here looks good but nope, not that tasty

Went to Arrow last Sunday to support the Lee boys with their opening of Aunty Khoo's hawker centre they call it. Tried every dish they made just because it was put on our table but ohmygod tastes so good! Ken Vern fried char kuay teow, seriously never tasted good char kuay teow in a REALLY long time. I ordered nasi lemak, their specialty with crispy fried chicken. TASTES SO GOOD! Better than Papparich, hands down

Of course I went for dessert at Meet Fresh, newly opened in Melbourne. Still prefer Dessert Story cuz their taro balls are more chewy and tastes better. Had Opera Slice at Brunetti's at Lygon last Saturday and holly madness, the Brunetti's there is HUGEE! It's like 3 houses combined. Had a really hard time choosing what I wanted but finally settled for Opera Slice.

And just that day I had brunch with my girlies at The Hardware Societe along Hardware Lane. Ordered omelette and seriously, there were at least 3 eggs in that omelette. Never ate so many eggs in a day before. So much cholesterol, gosh but once in a while should be fine. I can say it tastes quite okay but seriously, nothing beats Manchester Press, another superb brunch place. And one thing about these brunch places are that they are situated along small lanes where people like me will never notice. Should go brunch places hunting one day. In Manchester Press, I ordered Chorizo bagel and it tastes so freaking good I cannot even describe how good. It's holly yumness!

 Omelette

Chorizo bagel topped with capsicum. Looks good no? Tastes even better

That's about it for now. I think you readers will kill me if I post more food pictures hahah! Shall blog more next time! xoxo
